Vavrek Architects, Inc. was founded by Thomas J. Vavrek, AIA, who has more than 12 years of experience in commercial architecture. Tom has been instrumental in the creation of multiple building types including schools, criminal justice facilities, office buildings, and various other retail buildings. Tom is a member of the American Institute of Architects, NCARB-certified, and a 1993 graduate of Ball State University, Henry Adams Certificate for the Study of Architecture recipient (2nd highest GPA). Tom’s professional work ethic is a combination of a desire to strive for excellence in design with a devotion to guide a project through to its completion in the most expedient manner possible. Tom delivers a full range of skills that one would expect from an architect who has overseen all phases of building design and construction.
Patricia Morasan brings a technical and creative background to Vavrek Architects Inc. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. She has also taken courses in digital graphic design and web design at the Art Institute of Chicago. Pat comes to Vavrek Architects Inc. after 13 years as a Project Engineer for the Industrial Products Group at Federal Signal Corp. Her career at Federal Signal emphasized new product design, project management, and engineering support of existing products. Prior to Federal Signal, Pat worked as a field engineer for the Eastman Kodak Company servicing imaging equipment in the downtown Chicago Loop area.
